A Christmas present to the internationalists. President Obama continued to show his affinity for international organizations by signing an executive order giving INTERPOL diplomatic immunity and making the international police force no longer subject to our laws.
What does that mean? It means that INTERPOL can conduct their business in the US without worrying about our Constitutional rights. Up to now they had been forced to work under the same constitutional rules of every American domestic police force including the FBI, ATF, and other federal agencies.
Now they are free to run rough shod over American citizens and even government officials without concern for our civil rights. In affect, Pres. Obama placed INTERPOL above the US Constitution, Laws, and even the American government.
This is seen by many as the first step towards putting the United States under the authority of the UN international court at The Hague. INTERPOL is an investigative arm of the World court.
Can you imagine what the MSM and the liberal intelligentsia would have said if President Bush had done this?
It is amazing to me how this president wants to extend constitutional rights to enemy combatants and terrorists and yet on the other hand in the interests of the international community thinks nothing about taking the same civil rights away from actual US citizens. How does this make any sense?
